Whilst IPTV might save you some money, it might also cause you some problems.
One of the biggest problems with IPTV is the ‘Playback error…. reconnecting‘ issue.
This tends to happen during big events or when watching Sport IPTV apps. There is a reason for it too. This post will give you 3 ways to fix the playback error on IPTV apps, especially on Amazon Firestick!

IPTV User Warning
There is a huge increase in services and users being targeted by authorities, for the use and distribution of illegal IPTV services. Especially in the UK and US. You can read more about it if you haven’t heard of it.
If you are using IPTV services, MAKE SURE you are using a VPN. When IPTV services are taken down, the servers and logs are seized. By not using a VPN you put yourself as risk of being traced and identified to the activity within the servers.

What is playback error IPTV?
Playback error on IPTV occurs when the IPTV app is unable to connect to the stream it is played on.
There are many reasons why you will receive the playback error on IPTV, but typically, there are 3 main reasons.
ISP blocks are the likely reason you are receiving the playback error on Firestick.
During main events, especially sports and football, ISP’s will block the IPTV streams, preventing users from being able to stream live sports and events on Firestick.

The IPTV app will attempt to ‘reconnect’ to the stream, however 9 times out of 10, it will be unsuccessful.
Now that is out of the way, lets get into the 3 ways to fix the Playback error on IPTV.
This will work on ANY device, most importantly, the Amazon Firestick.

How to fix playback error IPTV?
These 3 methods to fix the issue on IPTV apps are successful most of the time.
The first method tends to be the main factor that affects the use of IPTV, and method 1 should fix the issue and stop you from receiving the playback error.
Method 1 – Bypass the ISP block
This should fix your issue!
Whenever there is a game on, or a live event, the ISP’s and networks will attempt to ‘shutdown’ the IPTV streams.
This is fairly new, over the last year or 2, and is becoming a much bigger obstacle for IPTV services.
The best way to stop the ISP block and fix the playback error on IPTV is to use a VPN.
Using a VPN will change your IP address and location, and prevent your ISP (Internet Service Provider), from being able to see what you are watching, or what IPTV app you are using.
Not only will using a VPN bypass the ISP block and fix the playback error on IPTV, it will also unlock more content for you on other streaming apps, and give you anonymity when streaming on Firestick or Android TV.
I recommend using NordVPN to hide you IP address and bypass the ISP block.
This will fix the issue the majority of the time
Method 2 – Use another stream
Another fix can be change the stream you are watching.
Often, IPTV services will have multiple ‘links’ to the streams you are watching. Especially when it is a main event.
If you are having the ‘Playback error……reconnecting‘ issue, this can sometimes mean the stream is having playback issues.
The best way to identify if the issue is with the stream, is to try another link, or channel.
If the issue persists with all channels, then you should use method 1 to fix the issue.
Method 3 – Change IPTV service
If the methods above fail, the last resort is to change your IPTV service.
There are 1000’s of services out there. Most of them are actually resellers. They will just resell other services to make a profit.
If you are continuously having issues with IPTV playback errors, and you have tried the methods above without success, you should change your IPTV service.
I have tried services like iSwitchTV in the past, and never had any problems with it. Granted, I no longer use IPTV, but I could see the difference in the stream quality and a fix to the errors I had on other services.
It is frustrating if you purchased a longer subscription, but if you want to fix the issue, then you should consider this too.
IPTV Playback error summary
There you have it! The 3 methods above should fix your playback error on IPTV!
As I mentioned, 9 times out of 10, method 1 seems to resolve the issue for most people. Failing that, its time to try another stream or service.
Either way, make sure you are protected with a VPN when using IPTV.
