The most used Downloader app for Android TV devices like the Nvidia Shield was recently removed from the Google Playstore. In this post, you will learn how to install it easily.
AFTV news recently posted an update about its popular utility tool and browser app ‘Downloader’. It seems Google have removed the Downloader app from the Google Playstore, once again!
The popular streaming app received a Copyright take down request via DMCA. This time by Warner Bros, Discovery, in India.
This is not the first time this has happened.
Earlier this year, Downloader app was also taken down by an Israeli media company, and was delisted after a long 10 day wait, in the fight against the frustrating DMCA takedown.
My Downloader app has, once again, been removed from the Google Play Store due to a false Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) takedown request. The culprit this time is Ishita Singh, the COO of MarkScan in India, who claims to represent Warner Bros. Discovery Inc. It’s ridiculous that, with no evidence whatsoever, Google approves these types of suspensions on an app that is, essentially, just a web browser.Quoted AFTVnews.com
Following the removal of Downloader app from the Google Play store, many streamers are looking for ways to download and install Downloader app to the Nvidia Shield or other Android TV devices.
If you want to support AFTVnews, you can RT and share the plea.
AFTVnews also moved on to say:
It’s absurd that Google seems to make no effort at all to verify the copyright claims being made on my app which is just a web browser that can download files and has no content of any sort in it. The portion of the DMCA takedown request where the complainant must “Identify and describe the copyrighted work,” which I would argue is the most important part, simply reads “Properties of Warner Bros. Discovery Inc.” and nothing else. The complainant made no effort at all to describe how my app is infringing their copyright or where the alleged infringing content appears in my app, yet Google treats it as a valid complaint and immediately suspends my app. I’m certain the same DMCA complaint made against Google Chrome would not result in Google’s web browser being suspended as it has for my web browser.
