You CAN NOT Jailbreak the Amazon Firestick!
Well, not in the way you might think anyway! Let me explain…..
‘Jailbreaking‘ is a term used for iOS devices, like the iPhone and iPad. To Jailbreak an iOS device is a way to remove the security features built into iOS, to gain additional features and essentially ‘hacks’, for different tweaks etc.
For those familiar with Android, it is the iOS equivalent to ‘ROOTING‘.
So, should you be searching for ‘how to root the Firestick’ instead? well, no, not really!
Rooting is another way to remove security features on Android and provides access to a modified kernel, also allowing more functionalities and features, but on the Amazon Firestick, this is NOT needed.

If you are looking for ways to watch movies and shows, or live TV on your Firestick, this post will help!
You do not need to ‘JAILBREAK’, or ‘ROOT’ your Firestick just to watch the latest Movies on it.
There is a MUCH EASIER way to do that, without the need for wires, usb’s, or even a computer! Infact, this method is the ONLY way to do it…. and that is to install third party apps to it.
What are third party apps you might ask?
Well, in simple terms, third party apps are applications for the Firestick that are not available to download on the Amazon app store, or Google Play Store.
As they are not available to download via the built in app markets, the only other method is to manually install the apps to the Firestick, and it couldn’t be easier!
The downside to installing third party apps, is because they are not verified by the likes of the Amazon app store, or Google Play Store, you should be careful what you are installing. You do not want to install any viruses, or malicious software.
Always install third party apps from a trusted source, or by following reliable content creators.
